In August 2022, San Francisco Heritage is producing a month-long series focused on Haight-Ashbury history, with a special focus on legacy businesses. Follow along on SF Heritage's social media and on sfheritage.org for news about our special weekly pin-giveaway and legacy business contest.
At SF Heritage's pop-up gallery at 1506 Haight Street (in the Doolan-Larson Building), artists Bee Betwee and Christine Innes are creating special displays celebrating the Haight's legacy businesses. Stop by starting August 3 to view the windows, which are up until August 31, 2022.
And to compliment this Heritage in the Neighborhoods: Haight-Ashbury program, SF Heritage's current artist-in-residence, legendary poster artist Stanley Mouse, will extend his residency inside 1506 Haight Street with a special exhibition of three new posters featuring legacy businesses on Haight Street: Piedmont Boutique, FTC Skateboarding, and Zam Zam.
